Control Horn Box Support Structure

The pointy end of the box attaches to the aft spar.  The forward end attaches to this 1/2" square beam between the ribs.  The 2 notches at the right are for the supports on the long side of the box.  The notch at the left end is for the rib cap strip.  The inboard end attaches to the heavy compression rib.

Gluing the end of the beam to the side of the rib wouldn't hold so I've glued a block to the rib for the beam to be glued to.

The support on the inboard side is just a piece of 1/4" spruce 1 1/2" wide, glued to the beam, the rib, and the spar.
The support on the outboard side is 3/4" wide x 1/2" thick spruce.  It was as easy to make it from some scraps of the 3/4" wide capstrip from the root rib, glued together.  It's glued to the beam and the spar.

The last pieces for this are the filler blocks along the aft edge of the spar, like I put between the other ribs.
 Looks good.

I'll nail the box in after the wood gets varnished.
